Fire Resistant Native Plants

Wildfires are becoming more and more common with more heat and less rain. Native plants that can endure harsh conditions, while also holding an abundance of water in their leaves,  are less likely to burn in the event of a fire. While they may not stop a wildfire, they can certainly help to offset the risk. They are also an important alternative to highly combustible, invasive grasses like fountain grass.
